Edmond Boakai lives in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County. He lives with his mother who works at a market while his father lives and works as a driver elsewhere in Grand Bassa. Edmond has made being a good student his top priority. His active roles in the school include being the President of his class and the Ambassador of the Peace Club. Part of his work with the club includes organizing a retreat for international students to come and speak about peace issues and resolution. He is also a member of the Community Radio Station where he is learning broadcasting. Edmond enjoys reading and debating in his free time. He is grateful to LEF because, as he says, "It will help me achieve my goals in life." Edmond would like to continue his education at the University of Liberia, eventually pursuing a career in political journalism and running his own radio station.
