Edwin Bondo lives in Monrovia, in Montserrado County. Both his parents are farmers in Bong County. His three younger brothers live separately in Monrovia while his younger sister still lives at home with their parents. He lives with a group of young men in a few small rooms at the Jubilee Worship Center. The Jubilee Church is Edwin's place of guardianship. In exchange for room and board and a small stipend, Edwin works as an usher at the church. His favorite subjects at school are bible study, history, geography and English. Edwin says of his LEF scholarship: "I don't have anyone to help me pay my tuition. I'm self-supported. I will no longer be begging around for assistance." After graduation, Edwin hopes to become an airplane pilot.
